When thinking about Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics it makes me think of how important this career cluster is to our economy. In what way do you think the cluster contributes to/effects our nation's economy? Please describe your two careers in this cluster first. How do you think each of your two careers in this cluster contribute to/effect our nation's economy? How does this cluster contribute to/effect the other clusters you have completed research in? It gets people from place to place, but it also gets people jobs. I had a Dispatcher and a Cleaners of Vehicle and Equipment. A dispatcher tells the vehicle here they need to go and sometimes they have to do this fairly quick if they are dispatching a route like an Ambulance or a Fire Squad. They have to know when someone calls in the fire/emergency. A dispatcher is very important because they have to get the imformation to the appopriate place. So, everyone that, that dispatcher is giving imformation to it is their job to get it to the people in time for them to get to the accident and/or the fire. A Cleaner of Vehicle and Equipment is my second career. These people have to make sure that the equipment and things are clean on the inside and out. They are important because, if say there was a fire and the fire truck was a disaster on the inside their would not be enough room for all the people that need to fit into the truck. So these two careers have a large impact on the economy today.

Recently I have been asking my students to make connections between their personal lives/chosen careers and those careers they choose to research in class. I ask them to to think about how semi-random research can be tied to meaning for them, personally. This week, among other things, we have researched two careers in the Government and Public Administration cluster. I would like to know why students chose to research the careers they did and how they "connect" to their own chosen career. The two careers Social and Community Service Managers and Transportation Managers. These two careers from Government and Public Administration are connected to my career which is a Veterinarian. Thesse two careers are connected because if you think about a Vet has to make house calls sometimes so, they have to load up all the things that are possibably needed in that situation and one of my chosen careers were Transpirtation Manager so they have to know where they are going. I also chose a Social and Community Service Manager and a Vet has to be a manager and take care of a lot of other things to be in place to take control.

After researching careers in the Ag, Food, and Natural Resources cluster, you should be making connections between those careers and your day to day life. How does each of the two careers you learned about relate to your life? How does each of those careers relate to our community? How do they relate to, fit in to, or affect our nation in general? My two careers were Zoologists and Wildlife Biologists and Animal Scientists. They both relate to my everyday life because when I get older I want to become a vet and these two careers both connect with a vet. They are also used in my everyday life because they discover new things for the teachers to teach me about with they are and how they originated and all that good stuff. So these are used to inform the teachers about new and interesting things to teach their students as well as themselves. They might even discover things that they have never thought about. Both of the careers relate to our community because they help the Vet's of our community learn and read about the different kinds of parasites and diseases that could harm your animal and it is their job to try and inform us about the ones that could harm us.

What I learned from a venn diagram.

What I learned from a venn diagram. The venn diagram taught me what the two careers I had done, which were a Vet and a Legal Secretary. It taught me what they had in common. The point of the venn diagram was to show us what the Mutual Personal Characteristics are between the two careers you done. YOu had had to list the Education, Training, and Personal Characteristics on both sides. THen in the middle you had to list the Mutual Personal Characteristics in the middle.

Students have just finished researching the Architecture and Construction career cluster. I'm curious to know how the two careers they looked at are similar and how they are different. I'm also interested to know if either of those two careers relate in any way to their chosen career. It should be interesting to read their posts! The two careers that I chose are Tile and Marble Setter and Landscaping and Grounds Keeping Workers. They are both similar because they have to have some of the same knowledge and skills. Like for example English and Language, Being an Active Listener, and being able to work under pressure. They both have to be aware of there working conditions. Also they both have to have good self control as well as paying a lot of attention to detail. They both have to have anywhere from a few days to a few months to even a year of job training with an expirenced worker. But then they are different because a tile setter usually require a high school diploma. But a landscaper could have less than a high school diploma. These jobs do not really have a way to connect with my chosen career.

Now that you have completed some research on your chosen career (careercruising.com), how does it measure up to a career in Human Services? Please make a note of the two careers by name and write about what they have in common. Use your fact sheets to compare the two. After comparing the two careers, decide and write about what those similarities mean to you. Could you work in Human Services? Does it confirm your chosen career and academy or does it make you want to change it? In a way a Vet does sort of measure up to a career in Human Service. A Vet helps people understand and also educates people on what they need to do and how to help the animal over come the issue that the Vet diagnosed the animal with. The two careers that I chose were Healthcare Social Worker and as you read a Vet. Healthcare and a vet have a few things in common like, they both provide people with information on how to help the sick whether it be a human or an animal. They also both help families cope with a loss. A Social Worker would help the family cope with loosing another family member but, a Vewt would help you cope with the loss of your beloved pet. They both need to know English and Language and knowing the structure and content of English Language. Also they need to know Medicine and Dentistry like knowing the information and techniques needed to diagnose sand treat injuries, diseases, and deformaties. These simalarities mean that these two careers may be a lot alike. So, if you need help doing something and you think about what jobs could be closes to your job, you could help each other out. I do not think i could work in human services because I am not very good around people and I like working with animals. It makes me not ant to change my career. I have known since I was five that I wanted to be a vet and not very many people go through with your childhood dream job and I think that I want to be one of the few people that go through with that dream. So no i do not want to change my career.

Why is it important for you to understand personalities in the workplace? Think of both, knowing your own personality, as well as knowing how to recognize other people's personalities. It is important to understand other people's personalitites so that you can all get along. Because maybe one day your boss will put you guys together to work and if you guys do not like then your most likely not going to agree on alot of things, and knowing the others person's personaliity might put you where it would be better working with each other. My personality is being calm and kind of getting along with anyone. So i would do okay working with opther people.
