Why is it important for you to understand personalities in the workplace? Think of both, knowing your own personality, as well as knowing how to recognize other people's personalities. It is important to understand other people's personalitites so that you can all get along. Because maybe one day your boss will put you guys together to work and if you guys do not like then your most likely not going to agree on alot of things, and knowing the others person's personaliity might put you where it would be better working with each other. My personality is being calm and kind of getting along with anyone. So i would do okay working with opther people.
